You can sign up to promote your business, sign up for fun, or search for personal sponsorship partners to make money by raising more than $1,000 (no limit on obtaining sponsors).
Q. Can I collect money from sponsors before I sign up?

Q. What limitations do I have with my personal sponsors?
Each team enters into their own terms with their own sponsors. Your sponsor can contribute in-kind donations or monetary donations. You can collect as much money from your sponsors as you want from as many sponsors as you can acquire. Your sponsor will have to provide their own logo in print for your vehicle at their own cost. Personal sponsors can add any size logo to your vehicle including a vehicle wrap.
Q. How do I get a business to sponsor my team?
Identify your leverage and your connections. After a business sponsors your team you become their promotional team, distributing POS, displaying their logo at car shows and events, and generating pictures and videos to be shared on your sponsor's social network. When approaching a new sponsor keep your pitch simple, but include additional information about how many car shows you attend, how many miles you drive your vehicle, and how many people see your vehicle per year. AFTER YOU SIGN UP WE WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH MORE SPECIFIC DATA SHEETS TO HELP.
Q. What is the difference between a "Gumball Sponsor" and a "Personal Sponsor" ?
A "Gumball Sponsor" would be any sponsor who works with the National Gumball Rally organizers directly, for a fee "Gumball Sponsors" advertise a small logo on EVERY RALLY VEHICLE, BANNERS, ECT. There is a designated space that we require these logos and numbers to be displayed.
A "Personal Sponsor" would be any business that is advertising through one or more teams. The National Gumball Rally Organizers and the American Gumball Rally DOES NOT monitor or enforce personal sponsorship terms so choose your sponsors / teammates / terms wisely.
Q What if I sign up for the rally and I can't make it or need a refund?
Refunds will be at the discretion of the rally organizer, changes to the team will require a pending approval from the organizer. Most situations it is not a problem to switch your vehicle, teammate or transfer your entry to another person completely.
Q. What if I am from another state or cannot make it to the Awards Ceremony?
Teams are not required to participate with the awards ceremony (if there is an awards ceremony on a different date) unless they place in the top 3 or qualify to win another award. Q Where does all the entry fee money go? How much goes to charity?
Each state has different operating and advertising expenses that vary each year, we guarantee at least 10% of all entry fees goes into the grand prize. Each state will also help raise money and awareness for a charity or charities of their choice. We do not guarantee a certain amount to get donated each year keep in mind we donated $7,000 our very first year, and helped raise approximately $20,000 to date for other groups. Charity donations remain one of our highest priorities and always will.
